Chalets Faqra

 Set within the picturesque Faqra resort ski club, nestled at an altitude of 1200 meters in the heart of Mount Lebanon, this design features two distinct rectangular volumes, each housing three units. The development consists of two duplex units, each with its own private garden, alongside a top-floor studio that boasts a spacious terrace. These volumes are thoughtfully organized around a central atrium, which serves as both the main entrance and lobby, as well as the vertical circulation core connecting the units.

The building’s facades showcase a striking contrast, with fair-faced concrete walls on the sides, while large, transparent openings at both the northern road-facing side and the southern side—overlooking the breathtaking Baskinta valley—bring in natural light and frame scenic views. The facade design is further enhanced by sleek aluminum louvers and composite wood panels, which create a dynamic interplay of forms. These materials combine to evoke the effect of rectangular "portiques," adding an aesthetic balance between the solid mass of the fair-faced walls and the lighter transparency of the openings.

This design prioritizes modern aesthetics while ensuring the functionality and social comfort of the units. It maximizes interaction between occupants through shared spaces while providing private sanctuaries, creating a harmonious living experience within the stunning mountain environment.
