The community center has been meticulously integrated into the site, positioned below the street level and facing the church, seamlessly blending with its surroundings. This strategic placement not only enhances the visual continuity with neighboring houses but also provides an ideal setting for the multipurpose hall and associated functions.

The central theme of the proposed scheme revolves around highlighting the significance of the existing Saint Peter & Paul Church in the village of Kornet Chehwan, situated in the Metn-Mount Lebanon region. To seamlessly integrate with this architectural focal point, the community center has been thoughtfully positioned below street level, facing the church, and serves as the host for the multipurpose hall and associated functions.

In order to ensure a harmonious coexistence and mitigate any visual discord, the architectural treatment of the building employs a nuanced approach. Natural stone cladding is selectively applied to the main entry and key volumes, creating a distinct visual identity. This choice not only pays homage to the local context but also accentuates the primary elements of the structure.

Complementing the natural stone, fair-faced concrete and glass are strategically employed to strike a delicate balance and enhance the overall aesthetic. This careful juxtaposition of materials not only adds a contemporary touch to the design but also serves to underscore the architectural treatment of the neighboring church, creating a cohesive and visually compelling ensemble.

The thoughtful selection of materials and design elements reflects GJH Architecture's commitment to preserving the cultural and architectural context while introducing modern elements that complement and elevate the existing landmark, ensuring a seamless integration that respects the identity and significance of the Saint Peter and Paul  Church.
